Mike McNamara B.S. Industrial Engineering, MBA As a leader and a consultant for major corporations, Mike has developed expertise as a change agent through intensive involvement and leadership of change initiatives and transformation.
Mike has been especially effective in improving strained working relationships within an organization, leveraging his skill as a facilitator and mediator. He continued high profile interventions in a struggling $1.2 billion business unit, helping to change its operating culture radically during a five-year period. He was an integral part of rebuilding the manufacturing organization through a variety of powerful change initiatives affecting people, processes, structures and organizational norms.

As a manufacturing leader at GE, Mike applied various improvement techniques to drive speed, quality and cost reduction programs. He led the application of the Work-Out! /and Change Acceleration Processes, working closely, on a global basis, with multiple businesses and their customers to deliver improved business results and develop change capability. Mike also helped launch Six Sigma while at the GE Leadership Development Center and served as a Six Sigma Master Black belt within GE Capital, producing significant customer service improvement.

In his consulting practice, Mike has applied his talent as a change consultant to implement change and build strategic change capability across multiple industries for the last 12 years.

• Implemented business turnaround through HR & OD interventions, coaching and change leadership activities to achieve stretch productivity objectives.
• Coached executive change teams globally (21 teams over 5 years) to launch products, processes, initiatives and services, culminating in a yearlong deployment of a new Business Operating System and five Enterprise Focus Areas through the top 300 executives of an $11B business.
• Supported enterprise transformation efforts for multi-billion $ financial services company and chosen as thought partner to drive change practice maturity
Mike received a B.S. in Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts. He is currently completing a certificate program in organizational development at NTL.
